MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference named
Amelia Ruiz Topali as the league's
Golfer of the Year on Thursday afternoon. The SSC also released its women's golf all-conference teams, with Ruiz Topali joined by
Charlotte Brook on the First Team and
Lilly Dullinger earning Third Team honors.
Ruiz Topali's standout season began with a win at the William Beall Fall Classic. She added victories at the Currahee Elite Invite and Lady Moc Classic. At the Lynn Invite, the sophomore helped lead the Fighting Knights to a team win, finishing second individually at -5. She followed that with another runner-up finish at the SSC Championship. Ruiz Topali, ranked fifth by Clippd, boasts a 631-51-12 record against Division II opponents and a 71.7 adjusted scoring average this season. She becomes the fourth Fighting Knight to earn SSC Golfer of the Year honors and the first since current assistant coach
Maria Hoyos received the award in 2023.
Brook notched four top-10 finishes during the 2024–25 season, earning a spot on the All-SSC First Team for the second consecutive year. The sophomore placed second at the Saint Leo Invitational, finishing at -6 in a field of 71. She is currently ranked No. 28 nationally by Clippd and owns a 73.1 adjusted scoring average, along with a 460-128-14 record against DII opponents.
Dullinger secured a spot on the All-SSC Third Team with a 74.1 adjusted scoring average and a 485-125-24 record against DII opponents. The freshman has two top-10 finishes this season and has placed inside the top 16 in each of her last four tournaments. She finished fourth at the Lynn Invite, shooting -2 in a field of 78 competitors and is currently ranked 50
th nationally by Clippd.
The sixth-ranked Fighting Knights will compete in the NCAA South Regional Championship at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Ga., from May 5–7.
