BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University's eighth-ranked men's tennis squad won the first eight matches of the day on Thursday afternoon before 48th-ranked Florida Tech squeezed out its lone point in a three-setter at No. 6 singles. The Fighting Knights secured an 8-1 Sunshine State Conference victory over the Panthers for the team's 14th consecutive triumph.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Mehdi Laalej/Florian Clemares and Kay Bartmann/Jose Porfirio Ordonez notched doubles wins at the top two flights before Jean-Baptiste Mateo and Tristan Houle gave Lynn a 3-0 edge with a 9-7 triumph at No. 3 doubles.
- In singles, fifth-ranked Mateo, Porfirio Ordonez and Houle gave up just three games apiece in their straight-set victories at the two, four and five positions, respectively.
- 16th-ranked Bartmann followed up with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.
- Sixth-ranked Laalej went toe-to-toe with Aria Canadell Solana at the top spot, coming out victorious, 6-4, 6-4.
- Paulo Santos Costa won the opening set at No. 6, 6-4, but ultimately fell in a third-set super breaker (4-6, 6-1, 10-7).
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Mateo remains undefeated in singles this year at 18-0.
- It was the first loss of the season for Santos Costa.
