BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University's third-ranked men's tennis team had its first Sunshine State Conference home match of the 2019 campaign on Friday afternoon, breezing past Florida Tech, 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn won all three doubles flights to secure the lone doubles point.
- At the top flight, Kay Bartmann and Florian Clemares logged a strong 6-0 triumph.
- Lucca Baptista and Patrick Bessinger picked up a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles with Gabriel Hocevar and Ryan Neale rounding out the pairs sweep at No. 3 (6-1).
- The Blue and White flew through the afternoon with straight-set victories in all six singles contests.
- Clemares put Lynn on the board first with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles, followed by Baptista at the second flight (6-0, 6-2).
- Hocevar and Calais then rattled off consecutive 6-1, 6-2 wins at the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
- Neale fought off his opponent in the second set for a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 6. singles.
- Bartmann closed out the match at the top position, defeating his opponent, 6-3, 6-3.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Lynn shut out Florida Tech in a regular-season match for the first time since 2011.
- The Fighting Knights are currently the only team in the league with a 2-0 SSC record.
