HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1):
- In the first inning, the Fighting Knights got started early producing offense. Aryana Galioto singled to short. Taylor Scala reached on a fielder's choice and got to third, but could not reach home.
- Faith Miller recorded her only strikeout in the bottom of the first.
- Southern Indiana homered in the bottom of the second to take the lead 1-0.
- The Eagles extended their lead on an RBI single to go up 2-0.
- Scala singled to center field and stole second in the top of the fourth, but the Eagles lead stayed at 2-0.
- In the bottom of the fourth, Southern Indiana added to their lead, going up 8-0 before securing their win in the fifth.
- Galioto and Scala both went 1-2.
- Miller pitched 2.3 innings allowing six runs on six hits.
- Josey Sumpter who came in relief gave up two runs on three hits in .1IP.
