Boca Raton, Florida - Madison Prickett has been named the Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Week after she threw a complete game no-hitter on Saturday. The freshman from West Palm Beach, Florida becomes the first Lynn softball player to win this award this season.
Prickett threw 7.0 innings, and she struck out four and walked five in Lynn's 1-0 victory over the Eckerd Tritons. In addition to throwing the no-hitter, Prickett scored the only run of the game, and she went 1-2 at the plate.
Prickett and the Fighting Knights will take their three-game winning streak into the final series of the season this weekend at Tampa. The first game of the three-game set is scheduled for Friday, Apr. 29 at 6 p.m.
