Mikey Troese and senior
Jalen Stanton have been named to the 2023 All-Sunshine State Conference Men's Lacrosse teams as announced by the league office, Thursday.
Troese was named to the all-conference second team, while Stanton was selection to the honorable mention team, his third award after he was named to the 2021 All-SSC First Team and was awarded Newcomer of the Year honors that same season.
Troese, a long-stick midfielder, led the Fighting Knights with 59 ground balls and tied for the team lead with 18 caused turnovers. He also scored two goals and handed out two assists.
In Lynn's 14-5 win over Palm Beach Atlantic, Troese tied the school record with six caused turnovers in a game. He is also second all-time in program history with 44 caused turnovers and fifth with 106 career ground balls.
Stanton capped the spring with 35 points behind 28 goals and seven assists. Stanton paced the team with five man-up goals and he scored multiple goals in seven games.
Stanton is fourth all-time in program history in points (100) and goals (85) and he is third in shots (281) and shots on goal (170).
The pair helped Lynn to a 7-9 overall record.
