Recruited by women’s professional tour pioneer PeachyKellmeyer to Marymount College in 1973, Meyer went undefeated inmatch play during her freshman year.  In the spring of 1974,she won the women’s national collegiate singles championshipin a thrilling three-set battle.  Turning professional afterher collegiate victory, Meyer played for eight years on thewomen’s tour, reaching a career high world ranking of No. 14.She also competed in World Team Tennis as a member of the IndianaLoves.  Remaining active in tennis as a U.S. coach forinternational junior competition and a supporter of Indiana juniortennis, Meyer was inducted into the Indiana High School TennisCoaches Association Hall of Fame in 2005 and the ITA Women’sHall of Fame in 2010.
